Alphan Njeru

Board Chairman

Mr. Njeru holds a degree in Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Nairobi, is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Public Secretary of Kenya.  He is a fellowship member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants (ICPAK). Mr. Njeru recently retired from PricewaterhouseCoopers, a firm he worked with for 36 years. At the time of his retirement he was the leader of the Advisory /Consulting Business in PwC Kenya as well as a seasoned public sector services practitioner.  Over his career at PwC he has audited and consulted several organizations in both public and private sectors.

He is also active in development and social activities of his community and has been the Chairman of Mayori Secondary school for the last 10 years and Vice Chair of the university council for Embu University College.  He sits in a number of boards of directors of organizations within both public and private sectors. Mr. Njeru has extensive knowledge of public sector having worked on public finance projects and programmes in the region for several years.

Peter Nduati

Group Chief Executive Officer

A Master’s degree holder in Economics and Insurance, Peter Nduati is a chartered insurer with over 25 years’ experience in the Kenyan Insurance Industry.

Peter Nduati is the founder and Group Chief Executive Officer of Resolution Insurance, a company that assures its clients of financial security and comfort by offering comprehensive insurance solutions in a dependable, reliable, and transparent manner. The General Insurer has contributed significantly to the growth and development of the insurance industry in East Africa and is today present in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and South Sudan as well as known for its innovation and creating industry benchmarks. Today, Resolution Insurance offers a number of products namely Medical Plans, Travel Plans, Liability Plans, Property Covers, Motor Covers and all other classes of General Insurance in the markets where it operates. Resolution Insurance is committed to being a socially responsible corporate organization by supporting the community in ways that have enduring benefits.

He is pursuing a doctorate programme focusing in Entrepreneurship in Kenya and was named Entrepreneur of the Year 2013 in the East Africa round of the Johnnie Walker Blue Label CNBC Africa All Africa Business Leaders Awards.

He was also admitted as a Global Fellow in the Africa Leadership Institute, the ASPEN initiative. The Africa Leadership Initiative (ALI) is a collaborative effort of seven partner organizations in Africa and the United States to foster values-based, action-oriented leadership in Africa.

Formerly CEO of Metropolitan Heath Group, a South African Health insurance group and was Managing Director of AAR Health Services Tanzania. He is also a director of First Benefits Ltd, Pine Creek Limited and Brown Oak Ltd an investment holding company. He also sits on the boards of Absolute Security Ltd, and board of governors of Dagoretti High School.

Mr. Matthew Myers


Mr. Myers holds a BSc from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg and is a Fellow member of the Faculty of Actuaries (Edinburgh) and the Actuarial Society of South Africa. Matthew is an Associate Director at LeapFrog, focused on Africa. He provides actuarial, risk management, pricing and product development support and training for LeapFrog’s portfolio companies. Matthew is a qualified actuary with experience across the financial services industry. Previously, at the Health Monitor Company, South Africa’s largest independent actuarial healthcare consulting firm.

He played an integral role in increasing the company’s market share in the national private health insurance market from 10% to 33% within 5 years. Matthew began his career at Alexander Forbes Financial Services, a major provider of financial services in South Africa and the UK, advising several of South Africa’s largest companies on employee benefit schemes.

Patrick Duff


Mr. Duff is a co member of Leapfrog’s Investment team and drives investments across the African landscape.

Before leaping to LeapFrog, Patrick was Partner at Kingdom Africa Management, a pan-African focused private equity investment firm with more than $600 million in assets under management. Here, Patrick managed multi-million dollar investments from sourcing through to leading successful exits, working across diverse sectors including infrastructure, financial services, consumer products and agriculture. Prior to this, Patrick worked in the investment banking division at Bear Sterns & Co in New York, where he managed billion-dollar transactions.

Patrick holds an MBA from FUQUA School of Business at Duke University and Warwick Business School (Distinction). He also has a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from the University of Cape Town, where he graduated first in class.

Shilpa Haria


Ms. Haria’s key qualifications include being a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (FCCA), a Practising Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants (ICPAK), a Member of the “Wise Fools” Club, a 2008 graduate of Sunny Bindra’s Fast Forward Wisdom in Leadership group, a Certified Coach – Academy of Executive Coach (AoEC) and a Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT).

She is currently a Non-executive Director of Housing Finance Company (Bank) and Unga Limited, a Consultant CFO of Flame Tree Group Limited, a Financial consultant and trustee of the Nairobi Greenline, a Trustee of the Women Empowerment Forum and a Financial consultant and advisor to organisations undergoing financial challenges.

In the years we have managed to get a few subsidiaries in various countries, whom we have been working with closely helping us reach our targets. Resolution as an insurance market leader in Kenya, Tanzania and now as Resolution Credit, has been in operation since 2002, has a proven track record in healthcare management gained from experience offering a variety of medical plans, travel plans and liability plans.
