Dhamani Cover Benefits

This is a personal accident cover with a hospital cash benefit, which is an additional benefit whose purpose is to reduce financial strain due to hospital admission and accidental death. Dhamani cover has annual limits ranging from Kshs.310, 000 to Kshs.1, 250, 000. The premiums can be paid in monthly installments and the benefits paid out as re-imbursement after an event has occurred.

Dhamani Junior

Dhamani Junior is a personal accident cover for children above 3 years and below the age of 18 years which is purchased together with Dhamani cover. (Please note that Dhamani Junior cannot be purchased alone). This product is designed to cater for individuals with children and is purchased for each child. The premiums can also be paid in monthly installments and the benefits paid out as re-imbursement after an event has occurred.

How to Register & Purchase Dhamani Cover

To purchase Dhamani cover register by dialing *830#, follow the prompts and pay the required premiums using M-PESA Paybill number 503102 using your policy number as the account number.
How to register & Buy Dhamani Cover.

  • I. Dial *830# from you Safaricom line and enter 2 to select Dhamani cover. Once this is selected, enter 1 to select Dhamani Cover;
  • II. Input the following details when prompted;
    1. 1. Your full name
    2. 2. Your National Identity card number
    3. 3. Your Date of birth
  • III. Select option 1, 2 or 3;
  • IV. Enter agent code (or 0 if don’t have any) and accept terms and conditions of the cover.
  • V. You will then receive an SMS giving you your policy number and M-PESA payment instructions. Proceed to M-PESA and pay your premium via paybill number 503102 and the account number provided in the message.

How to Register & buy Dhamani Junior Cover

  • I. Dial *830# from you Safaricom line and enter 2 to select Dhamani. Once this is selected, enter 2 to select Dhamani Junior Cover;
  • II. Input the following details when prompted then submit;
    1. 1. National Identity card number of parent or guardian
    2. 2. Child’s name
    3. 3. Child’s date of birth
  • III. Select option 1 or 2;
  • IV. Enter agent code (or 0 if don’t have any) and accept terms and conditions of the cover.
  • V. You will then receive an SMS giving you your policy number and M-PESA payment instructions. Proceed to M-PESA and pay your premium via paybill number 503102 and the account number provided in the message.

A. Claim Requirements after Discharge from Hospital

  • 1. Discharge Summary from the Hospital
  • 2. A copy of your National Identity Card

B. Disability Benefit Claims Requirements

  • 1. Completed claim form.
  • 2. Medical report signed by attending Doctor.
  • 3. A copy of your National Identity card.

C. Bereavement Benefit Claims Requirements

  • 1. Completed Claim Form.
  • 2. Death Certificate and/or post Mortem report where there has been an investigation.
  • 3. Police abstract report.

D. Funeral Benefit Claims Requirements

  • 1. Completed Claim Form.
  • 2. Death Certificate and burial permit.
  • 3. Police abstract report.

Note: All the above documents can be scanned and submitted via email to info@resolution.co.ke.

Important Things to Note

  • The age limits are:
    1. 19-65 years for Dhamani Cover
    2. 3-18 years for Dhamani Junior Cover
  • The cover is valid for one year
  • Dhamani is a countrywide cover
  • There is a waiting period of 21 days before accessing the hospital cash benefit
  • For a child to access the Dhamani Junior Cover, the parent MUST have a Dhamani cover

Exclusions

The following is a summary of circumstances where Resolution Insurance will not pay for claims submitted:

  • Injury under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Suicide or injuries obtained from harming oneself
  • Injuries from motor cycle or motor vehicle racing
  • Maternity Services, (however, this can be incorporated after 2 years of being on cover)
  • Medical conditions existing at the time of purchase of the cover
